AURORA, Colo. — A vehicle crashed into a house and caused a gas leak in Aurora Friday night.
The Aurora Fire Department posted on X just before 9:50 p.m. that a vehicle had struck a home near East Iliff Avenue and South Blackhawk Street and hit a gas meter, causing a natural gas leak.
Aurora Fire said their hazmat crew was working to secure the leak, while their technical rescue team shored up the damage to the home. Xcel Energy was notified and also responded, the fire department said.
Aurora Police said no one inside the home was hurt.
Police said the driver was not there when they responded.
