3-year-old boy missing from Thornton

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation said they believe the boy is with his dad, who does not have custody of his son.

THORNTON, Colo. — A 3-year-old boy is missing and may be with his father, who does not have custody of him. 

Triztin Miller was last seen in Thornton on Tuesday.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation said they believe he may be with 35-year-old Matthew Miller, who is his dad but who does not have custody of Triztin.

Triztin is described as 3 feet, 6 inches tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. He weighs about 40 pounds. Matthew Miller is 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs about 240 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. 

Police said they believe the pair could be traveling in a 2008 Silver Honda Ridgeline pickup truck with Colorado license plate ARQA93. 


If you see Triztin or Matthew Miller, or know where they could be, call Thornton Police at 720-977-5150 or call 911.

“AMBER” stands for America’s Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response. The alert was created after the January 1996 kidnapping and murder of 9-year-old Amber Hagerman. 

Certain criteria must be met before an AMBER Alert is issued 

  • The abducted child must be 17 years old or younger. 

  • The abducted child must be in immediate danger of serious bodily harm or death. 

  • There must be enough descriptive information available to believe a broadcast will assist or aid in the recovery. 

  • A local law enforcement agency or AMBER designee from another state must request the activation. 

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is responsible for issuing AMBER alerts.
