Woman killed in Aurora stabbing

Aurora Police are looking for a man who ran from the scene in the 2200 block of Geneva Street when officers arrived.

AURORA, Colo. — Aurora Police are investigating after a woman was killed in a stabbing early Sunday morning.

Officers responded around 1:45 a.m. to the 2200 block of Geneva Street, where they found a woman on the ground and a man standing over her.

The man ran from the scene and has not been located, police said.

The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries consistent with a stabbing, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police said investigators are not able to confirm at this time if it was a domestic incident, or the relationship between the suspect and victim.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or visit metrodenvercrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. 

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
