The closure goes from 8 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday between County Road 64 and Homestead Road.

EVERGREEN, Colo. — Interstate 70 will be closed at Floyd Hill near Evergreen overnight Monday for a construction project.

The westbound lanes of the highway will be closed between County Road 64 and Homestead Road from 8 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday. During the closure, crews will install pipes under the highway as part of the I-70 Floyd Hill Project, which began last July.

During the closure, drivers who need to go west should take U.S. 40 west from County Road 65 to Homestead Road, where they can reenter I-70.

Two lanes of westbound I-70 will also be closed from 8 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

The I-70 Floyd Hill Project is intended to improve eight miles of the highway between Evergreen and Idaho Springs. This includes adding a westbound toll lane, adding a frontage road, building a longer on-ramp, improving the Clear Creek Greenway trail and more. It expected to be completed in 2028.
