Victim forced to drive from Highlands Ranch to Englewood

​The victim reported being threatened with a handgun and forced to drive from Highlands Ranch to Englewood, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said.

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. — Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a person of interested in a suspected kidnapping incident Friday evening.

The victim told investigators that just before 7 p.m. she was threatened with a handgun and forced to drive from the 9200 block of South Broadway in Highlands Ranch to Chenango Circle in Englewood.

The victim did not report any injuries.

The person of interest is described as a 6-foot man with stubby facial fair, a tattoo on the left side of his face and a tattoo on his index finger, the sheriff’s office said.

He was wearing a black hat, brown or tan boots, a black zip-up hoodie and he had a dark bicycle.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 303-660-7500.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation. 

From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
