THIBAUT COURTOIS has suffered a nasty new injury in Real Madrid training.
The former Chelsea goalkeeper has yet to play this season after tearing his cruciate ligament in August.
According to Marca, Courtois has now suffered another injury setback that will likely rule him out for the rest of the campaign.
The Belgian keeper left training in tears after tearing the meniscus in his right knee.
He is now set to undergo surgery on the knee injury, the report adds.
Courtois had only recently returned to training following his previous setback.
The 31-year-old had not been expected to feature this season after being forced out of a session last summer.
Real Madrid responded by swooping to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan from Chelsea.
However, the Spaniard has since lost his place in the side to Andriy Lunin, who has been the regular starter between the sticks since November.
Courtois’ latest injury blow comes amid another public spat with Belgium manager Domenico Tedesco.
