According to the Arvada Police Department, Joseph Galbreath was arrested by Glendale Police on Feb. 20 and released on bond.
ARVADA, Colo. — A man who is accused of passing around fake $100 bills has been identified and arrested, according to police.
On Jan. 19, the Arvada Police Department asked for the public’s help identifying a man dressed as a bounty hunter who was using counterfeit money at local businesses, police said.
Police received multiple tips from the public and were able to identify the man as 61-year-old Joseph Galbreath.
Arvada Police reported Wednesday that Galbreath was arrested by Glendale Police on Feb. 20 and later released on a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
On Jan. 31, Arvada Police served a search warrant at Galbreath’s home in Lakewood and found counterfeit U.S. currency and equipment to make counterfeit money, according to police.
Detectives were able to get an arrest warrant for Galbreath on 11 felony charges involving forgery and theft, police said.
