What is Nottingham Forest accused of?

Nottingham Forest has been under investigation for alleged Profit and Sustainability breaches.

The club faces a possible points deduction after being charged in January for PSR breaches in their accounts up until 2022-23.

A hearing was held on 7 and 8 March and an announcement could be made today.

PSR allows clubs to lose £105m over three seasons.

Currently, it is unclear by exactly how much Forest may have breached the rules but a points deduction could cast the club’s Premier League survival into doubt.

Premier League standings as Forest faces points deduction

Nottingham Forest is sitting three points above the relegation zone with nine games left to play.

If they were to be hit with a points deduction, Nuno Espírito Santo’s side could have their Premier League survival hopes dashed.

It is believed the side will discover its fate as early as today.
