THE chances of Mason Greenwood staying at Getafe are “impossible” despite Manchester United allegedly deciding to sell him, according to reports.
The 22-year-old forward left Old Trafford in August to join the LaLiga side on a season-long loan.

The one-cap England international has impressed greatly since his arrival in Spain and has caught the eye of a host of clubs.
Barcelona are one of those keen and rumours of a transfer intensified when Red Devils chiefs John Murtough and Matt Hargreaves were spotted with Nou Camp counterpart Deco in the Catalan city this week.
Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag has also allegedly made it clear that he would welcome the return of Greenwood but only if “it works for all parties” as speculation over a comeback to United mounted.
Now Marca claim to have an update on the situation – and they state that United have decided to cash in.
They are believed to have placed a £42.8million price tag on the academy graduate’s head.
However, that figure is way more than Getafe can afford to pay, despite them being desperate to hang on to the ace.
It claims that club chiefs will attempt to try and negotiate with United as Greenwood fits both their playing style and dressing room perfectly.
But the Premier League side’s “decision seems firm”, says this update, with the attacker also keen to play in the Champions League or one of the other European competitions.
And it is also bad news for Barcelona as the current transfer fee wanted is also not within their reach.
Murtough and Hargreaves met with officials from both clubs during their midweek visit to Spain.
Greenwood has made 23 top-flight appearances so far for Getafe this term.
He has produced six goals and five assists during those outings.
Despite his displays, Getafe are currently 12th in the table, 11 points off the top six and European qualification.
