Heavyweight clash
Calls for heavyweight supporters.
And there’s no bigger heavyweight in the world than the Gypsy King himself.
Tyson Fury is in position ahead of this one!
Top flight scorers
A look at Liverpool’s top scorers from their league campaign, as they head into this cup clash.
They’ll be going full strength and are favourites coming into the tie.
With plenty of options in attack too, how many of these will start this afternoon?
We’ll find out in a couple of minutes….
Challenge ahead
Jurgen Klopp says he expects a tough afternoon but admits he ‘doesn’t know much about United’s season.
He said: “I don’t know too much about their season but I saw a few really, really good games. There’s a lot of quality there.
“They had injury problems obviously as well but a lot of quality. I don’t know which players are available – maybe Rasmus Hojlund is available again, I think [Aaron] Wan-Bissaka and some others were not available recently, that obviously makes a difference as well.
“We will see. But again, it was always a tough place to go for us, it’s not easy. It means everything to both fan groups, it means absolutely everything.”
They’re home
The Manchester United squad are here, having arrived at the ground a short time ago.
Hundreds of fans were there to greet them on their way in.
There was still plenty of time for selfies and autographs on the way in.
‘Be at our best’
Erik ten Hag says his side need to be at their best to beat Liverpool today.
And while he knows there’s work to do to close the gap on the big three in the league, he knows how important it is to pick up trophies along the way.
He said: “We know we have to catch up in the Premier League but now we have an opportunity to win silverware.
“The only opportunity is the FA Cup, so we are only three wins away but big games and we have to play our best.
“It is a test for us, but we like the test, we like the challenges and we can be, to a certain range, relaxed because we believe in ourselves. But we have to prove [that].”
Cup time!
We’ve a belter of an FA Cup quarter final this afternoon when old foes Manchester United and Liverpool meet.
Old Trafford stages the contest between the two English giants, with both sides desperate to reach Wembley and the last four.
For Liverpool, it could be a big step towards a potential quadruple.
And United hope to reach the semis of the iconic competition for the second consecutive campaign for the first time since 2003-04/2004-05.
