German outlet Bild has reported that the two stars, both 31, were opponents during a crossing exercise.

The report states that they were repeatedly tackling each other until Fullkrug cursed at Real Madrid centre back Rudiger while on the ground.

The Borussia Dortmund striker reportedly then shouted at coach Mads Buttgereit: “Blow the whistle already”.

The report goes on to say that the two then pushed each other and “almost come to blows”.

It is said that assistant coach Sandro Wagner had to step in to separate the two players.

The team then had a drinks break but both players were “still upset”.
