KOBBIE MAINOO needs just one comforting item to feel at home with England at Euro 2024 — his slippers.
The Manchester United teenager has looked totally at ease since his incredible rise from unknown to representing his country.
But the 19-year-old has taken a cosy creature comfort to Germany.
The midfielder revealed: “My Ugg slippers — they’re essential.
“I’m really excited. It’s my first proper season.
“To get a call-up is what everyone dreams of — to play for your country in a major tournament.
“It’s such a great squad. Everyone is so together.”
Mainoo‘s stellar season at club level was capped off by his decisive goal in the FA Cup final.
It came after he made an impressive start to his international career in March in friendlies against Brazil and Belgium.
And some fans have been tipping him to start England‘s opening game against Serbia in Gelsenkirchen on Sunday.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is now considered the favourite to assume that role in England’s first match of the Euros.
Conor Gallagher and Adam Wharton are other alternatives, while there is also a chance Bellingham drops deeper to allow Phil Foden to move into the No10 role.
