Broncos right tackle Mike McGlinchey and receiver Courtland Sutton now have greater security.
ENGLEWOOD, Colo — Not there was any doubt, but two prominent Denver Broncos had contract guarantees kick in Sunday, the fifth day of the league year.
Right tackle Mike McGlinchey will now be around for a third season in Denver. His $17.5 million salary for 2025, which had been guaranteed for injury only at the time of signing, is now fully guaranteed.
This was expected especially after McGlinchey did a salary-cap conversion for the Broncos last week, moving nearly $13.875 million of his $15 million salary into a pro-rated restructure bonus.
Overall, McGlinchey will receive $52.5 million over three seasons with the Broncos, $17.5 million per year. He has an additional two non-guaranteed years, at $17.5 million each, through 2027 on his contract.
No. 1 receiver Courtland Sutton also had a $2 million injury guarantee on his $13.5 million salary for this season converted to a full guarantee. This was expected because Sutton is coming off a fine season in which he tied for fourth in the league with 10 touchdown receptions.
Sutton has two years and $27.6 million left on his contract — $13.6 million this year and a non-guaranteed $14 million in 2025.
