According to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, everyone (with two and four legs) was able to make it down safely.
BOULDER, Colo. — A call for rescue in the late evening hours of Friday took quite a unique twist.
According to the Boulder County Sheriff, two climbers (and their cat Link) had to be rescued after getting stuck after dark on the First Flatiron at Chautauqua Open Space.
Now this isn’t just any ordinary cat. According to social media, Link and her owners tend to go on outside adventures quite often.
In a Facebook post from the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, everyone (two and four feet alike) was able to be lowered safely to the ground.
In a statement to 9NEWS, Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, provided some tips to those looking to recreate.
“As the days are getting warmer, we are seeing an increase of people going outside to recreate, including people getting stuck in the dark and stuck on climbs. We recommend all climbers and hikers carry headlamps with them, even if they anticipate finishing before dark. We are glad that this rescue had a happy outcome for both the humans and the cat.”
No injuries were reported.
