BRENHAM, Texas — We’ve got the scoop on a dreamy new flavor offered by Blue Bell.
The Texas-based creamery, located in Brenham, just released a brand new flavor called Gooey Butter Cake and is inspired by the famous cake from St. Louis.
The new flavor has a Cake Batter Ice Cream base with a cream cheese swirl and pieces of gooey butter cake.
The flavor is released to coincide with Blue Bell’s products being made available in St. Louis stores, even though the new flavor will be available in most markets.
“Our new Gooey Butter Cake Ice Cream is as delicious as the cake made famous in St. Louis,” said Carl Breed, vice president, sales and marketing for Blue Bell. “Our ice cream is a great introduction if you have not tasted a gooey butter cake. There are delicious pieces of cake in each bite. And our Cake Batter Ice Cream combined with a cream cheese swirl is, as they say, the icing on the cake.”
