Colorado State Patrol said one lane is back open after the crash near Castle Rock. Icy conditions are believed to be a factor.
CASTLE ROCK, Colo. — Southbound lanes on Interstate 25 closed near Castle Rock after at least seven cars were involved in a crash early Saturday morning.
Colorado State Patrol said the crash happened around 6:10 a.m. at mile marker 185 near the North Meadows Drive exit.
One person was taken to the hospital, and the extent of their injuries was not shared.
Around 8 a.m., CSP said one lane reopened.
CSP believes very icy conditions were a factor in the crash and warned drivers to slow down.
