Pardew has been away from the dugout since leaving Greek side Aris Thessaloniki in February 2023.

According to The Times, he is now standing to succeed Howard Wilkinson as LMA chairman.

The 62-year-old is one of eight people to be nominated, including both male and female candidates.

His pitch is said to include that he has played and managed at every level.

Pardew also wants to promote more inclusion of ethnic minority coaches, the report adds.

With Wilkinson standing down at the end of the season after 34 years, the 680 LMA members will be sent ballot papers next week.

They will then have four weeks to cast their votes in the election.

Pardew’s last managerial role saw him spend just five months in Greece with Aris.
