WWE wrestler Sid Vicious dead at 63

The former WWE champion wrestled under many names including “Sid Justice”, “Sycho Sid” and “Sid Vicious”.

WASHINGTON — WWE wrestler Sid Eudy, known as “Sid Vicious” and “Sycho Sid,” has died. He was 63. 

The wrestler’s son Gunnar Eudy announced that the former wrestling champion died on Monday after battling cancer. 

“I am deeply saddened to share that my father, Sid Eudy, has passed away after battling cancer for several years. He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed.” The wrestler’s son said in the Facebook post read. 

“We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we grieve this loss. Details for a memorial service will be shared soon,” Gunnar Eudy added. “Thank you for your support.”

Eudy, who was a steep 6-foot-9, won two WWE championships, two World Championship Wrestling titles and a United States championship. He wrestled under many names including “Sid Justice,” “Sycho Sid” and “Sid Vicious.” 

Following the news of his death, tributes poured in to honor the former WWE champion. 

“WWE is saddened to learn that Sid Eudy has passed away,” WWE said in a post on X, formerly Twitter. “The WWE extends its condolences to Eudy’s family, friends and fans.”

“Without Sid Vicious, I don’t think my brother and I would have made it to WCW. His impact on this business was undeniable, and he paved the way for so many of us,” wrestler Booker T. said on X. “My deepest condolences to his family during this difficult time.”

Eudy wrestled with some of the biggest names in the WWE, including Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan and more.
