Fulham submit transfer bid for Andersen
Fulham have submitted a £20m transfer offer to land Crystal Palace star Joachim Andersen.
However, The Athletic report the Eagles want at least DOUBLE that amount.
The Cottagers are in the market for a centre-back after losing Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer to Chelsea and Tim Ream to Charlotte FC.
On Friday they saw an offer for Aston Villa’s Diego Carlos rejected but have confirmed a deal for Villarreal central defender Jorge Cuenca this month.
Man Utd’s double transfer deal
Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Bayern Munich stars Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
United have completed an initial £38.5million deal with Bayern for De Ligt with a further £4.2m in add-ons.
The centre-back is now set for a medical before signing a five-year deal that includes the option to extend by an additional 12 months.
The Bavarians also accepted a separate £16.8m proposal from the Red Devils for Mazraoui.
A deal for the right-back – which will see the Manchester giants pay around £12.8m up front – has been in place for some weeks.
Wilfried Zaha transfer war
Crystal Palace may miss out on bringing Wilfried Zaha back to Selhurst Park this summer because of a Premier League rival.
According to The Athletic‘s transfer insider David Ornstein, Palace explored the possibility of reinstating Zaha on loan from the Turkish champions this summer.
However, the Eagles are facing competition from Leicester who are also keeping tabs on the winger’s situation.
The Foxes are actively working on a deal to bring the Ivory Coast international back to the Premier League.
Galatasaray appear open to doing business as the ex-Manchester United ace will be available on loan.
Talks are taking place between the Championship winners and Galatasaray.
Leicester would have to pay a loan fee to bring Zaha to the King Power Stadium.
Palace have explored the exact same possibility as their former star has a contract until 2026.
Saudi Pro League raid
The Saudi Pro League will bid for Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah or Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne this summer if an opportunity arises.
But there is an acceptance Salah and De Bruyne may be tricky to sign now.
And the Premier League star dup could be available for no fee if they do not agree new contracts.
Salah and De Bruyne’s deals run out in June 2025.
De Gea joins Fiorentina
David de Gea has sealed his free transfer to Fiorentina to complete his return to football.
De Gea has been out of action as a free agent for 14 months following his departure from Manchester United.
The 33-year-old signed a one-year contract, including the option of a further 12 months, with the Viola.
The ex-Spain international’s last competitive appearance was over 400 days ago in United’s defeat to Manchester City in the 2023 FA Cup final.
Leicester submit record bid
Leicester are pushing hard to sign Panathinaikos star Fotis Ioannidis with a record bid.
Leicester submitted £23m (€27m) for Ioannidis on Saturday and that would make him the most expensive signing from Greece.
The striker would break Daniel Podence’s record from when Olympiacos sold him to Wolves for €19.6m (£16.8m) in 2020.
The Foxes are facing competition from Lazio, Bologna, Sporting Lisbon and new Premier League foes Ipswich Town for the Greece international.
Reports suggest Panathinaikos rejected a €20m (£17m) offer from Lazio for the 24-year-old.
