Demands at the Bridge

Chelsea’s owners have published a list of demands as they gear up for a big summer at Stamford Bridge.

The board of directors produced an open letter to fans in their matchday programme as they wound up a turbulent 12 months at home to Bournemouth.

And it read: “There have been some moments of frustration, many others to cherish, and countless reasons to be optimistic and excited for the years ahead.

“We are now approaching the second anniversary since becoming custodians of this incredible club and it remains an absolute privilege to hold that position.”

The wide-ranging list of aims included a desire for:

*Consistently winning or contending for the Premier League and Women’s Super League titles.

“Consistently playing in the Champions League and competing for domestic cups.

*Consistently competing for titles across the youth age groups. Developing and discovering the next generation of footballing talent for the benefit of the club.

*Being responsible actors and contributors to our community, while meeting Financial Fair Play and other regulatory requirements.

“Earning the trust and confidence of our supporters.”

Brentford exits

The Bees have confirmed loanees Neal Maupay and Sergio Reguilon will return to their parent clubs, Everton and Tottenham respectively.

Shandon Baptiste, Saman Ghoddos and Charlie Goode are all set to become free agents when their contracts expire.

Expect Brentford to be fairly active in the summer window.

McKenna chase

After his heroics with Ipswich Town, Kieran McKenna is a wanted man.

Brighton are reportedly keen on bringing the Northern Irishman to the Amex.

But they could face competition from Chelsea.

The Observer claims the Blues are considering moving for McKenna, should they decide to part ways with Mauricio Pochettino after his end of season review with the board.

Kelly’s exit

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola believes defender Lloyd Kelly has played his last game for the club.

“It looked like a farewell from Lloyd, I think he will probably play somewhere else next season,” Iraola said.

“I have to thank him, he has given everything till the last minute, even today he helped us, he probably has not played enough this season due to injuries, but has been one of us best players.”

Kelly is out of contract at the end of the season.

Mourinho’s next club

Jose Mourinho has been offered the Besiktas job, vice-president Huseyin Yucel has confirmed.

He said: “We contacted Jose Mourinho a month ago and he welcomed our offer,” Yucel claimed. “We already resolved the economic details and will go to Italy next week so we can meet face to face.

“If we reach an agreement with Mourinho, then we will recommend he include Ricardo Quaresma in the staff.”
