Hugo Iram Cardona Jr. has at least 15 victims in Colorado, Texas and Arizona, according to federal investigators.

DENVER — Federal agents are looking for more victims of a man who recently pleaded guilty to cyberstalking young women in Colorado and two other states.

The U.S. Department of Justice said in a release that 21-year-old Hugo Iram Cardona Jr. pleaded guilty in a federal court in El Paso, Texas to three counts of cyberstalking.

Court documents show Cardona used a two-factor authentication scheme to gain access to various young female victims’ Snapchat accounts to steal their intimate photos and videos. He then contacted them on Instagram and Snapchat and demanded that they “apologize” or he would publicly release that content. The release said in most cases, he would demand that his victims video chat with him while engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

Federal investigators found at least 15 victims located in Colorado, Texas and Arizona, according to the release. The investigation determined the victims were initially contacted by Cardona from Instagram accounts “idkprii85,” “designoiram,” “juniorrriram,” “urfavpapi,” “urdvddyjunie” and “juniorrhernandez” as well as Snapchat accounts “juniepri,” “asap_juniorrr” and “juniorrriram.” Victims were also contacted from multiple TextNow numbers, according to the release.

The release said Cardona’s crimes took place between August 2020 and June 2023.

Anyone who has had contact with Cardona or any of the usernames listed above while using Snapchat, Instagram or TextNow between 2020 and 2023 is asked to complete a victim questionnaire. You can also contact FBI El Paso at cardonavictims@fbi.gov or by calling 915-832-5000.

Sentencing is scheduled for June 3. Cardona faces up to 10 years in prison for each count.
