Motorcycle crash closes multiple I-70 lanes in Wheat Ridge

Wheat Ridge Police said some eastbound lanes were closed near the Wadsworth Boulevard exit after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash.

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — Multiple lanes on Interstate 70 were closed in Wheat Ridge on Saturday due to a motorcycle crash.

Wheat Ridge Police posted at 9:38 a.m. on social media that four eastbound lanes were closed just before the Wadsworth Boulevard exit.

Investigators believe the motorcyclist rear-ended another car, and he was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

By 9:44 a.m., police said the closure had been reduced to the far right lane to Wadsworth.
