Fans slam Fernandes

Bruno Fernandes has been slammed by fans after feigning injury against Fulham.

The Manchester United captain often incurs the wrath of supporters for his antics, particularly his behaviour towards referees.

On this occasion he angered fans by claiming to be injured before springing back up to his feet moments later.

The midfielder appeared to go down hurt after taking a shot from distance under pressure from Saša Lukić.

Fernandes flung himself to the floor theatrically despite not receiving any contact from the Fulham star.

He clutched his ankle and waved at referee Michael Oliver before rolling around in apparent agony.

But seconds later he was magically healed as he leapt to his feet before asking for the ball to be passed to him.

EXCLUSIVE: United line up shock Barkley transfer

Man Utd’s new regime are lining up a shock move for Luton star Ross Barkley.

United supremo Sir Jim Ratcliffe and sidekick Sir David Brailsford are huge fans of born-again Barkley who they took to their other club Nice in France.

Barkley’s dazzling form for the Hatters has put him on the wanted list at Old Trafford as a surprise and cheap capture.

Barkley, 30, shot to fame with Everton as a teenager but flopped at Chelsea.

Yet he is bossing the Hatters midfield and is a big reason they are punching above their weight.

Greenwood ‘wants to stay’ at Getafe

Getafe president Angel Torres claims Manchester United loanee Mason Greenwood wants to stay at the club for another season.

He said: “They asked us about it, there was a lot of talk about the issue of abuse and we found out what had happened and I said, ‘Let’s go’.

“He has a clear conscience, he is very comfortable and crazy about staying another year.

“It’s a matter that they [United] have to decide. There is new ownership. They have to decide.

“In Spain he has a market but they [Barcelona] have money.

“Barca’s way of playing would suit him well but it depends on Manchester United. If it’s true, he’ll tell me.”

Ratcliffe ‘demands new pay structure’ at United

Sir Jim Ratcliffe will introduce a new pay structure at Manchester United to bring the club’s wage bill down.

Man Utd reportedly splashed £330million on player wages last year.

Casemiro is supposedly on £350,000-a-week, Raphael Varane takes home £340,000 every seven days and Marcus Rashford is also among the top earners with his £325,000-a-week contract.

Ratcliffe is desperate to get the wage bill under control with finances tight at Old Trafford.

The Ineos chief plans to implement a bonus-led pay structure so only top performing players get the big bucks.
