ITV VIEWERS have been left fuming after they missed Portugal’s second goal against Turkey.

The camera cut away from the action just as Samet Akaydin’s own goal doubled the 2016 winners’ lead.

Instead of showing his mix up with Altay Bayindir, the coverage showed Cristiano Ronaldo rowing with Joao Cancelo.

Ronaldo had been left enraged by Cancelo’s poor forward pass to him, with the pair both seen shouting at each other on the pitch.

The attack appeared over as the ball headed towards the penalty area, only for Akaydin to pass it beyond his own goalkeeper.

Viewers were left annoyed to have missed the mix-up, with the camera cutting back as the ball rolled over the goal line.

Reacting to the camera mistake on social media, one fan wrote: “Maddest of own goals. ITV was too busy concentrating on Ronaldo having a tantrum.”

Another added: “ITV missing the funniest goal of the tournament live adds to the spectacle somehow.”

A third viewer also commented: “Classic ITV missing the goal.”

Meanwhile, one more joked: “Didn’t want to see that goal anyway ITV.”
