Colorado Springs Police said a 3-year-old boy was hit in the leg multiple times when gunshots were fired from the street into a home Thursday night.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Colorado Springs Police said officers were investigating after a child was shot multiple times during a home invasion Thursday night.
Around 10:36 p.m., officers responded to the 3600 block of El Morro Road for a reported shooting.
A three-year-old boy was taken to the hospital by his father with multiple gunshot wounds to his leg.
Investigators determined a white truck drove by the family’s home and fired “numerous” gunshots from the street that went into the home.
The child and both parents were asleep in the bedroom when the shooting took place, police said.
