And he was caught off guard when Lewis Jamieson scored a late equaliser for the home side.

After describing the goal Walker recited the score which was 2-2, but some fans joked that he sounded like a train.

One person tweeted: “Thomas the Tank Engine at the end.”

Another added: “I swear I’m hearing Choo-choo and not 2-2 at the end of this 🤣.”

While a third fan joked: “Why’d he turn into a train at the end.”

The score was still level at full-time, with both teams sharing the points.

St Mirren have now moved five points behind Rangers in the table.

After the match, manager Stephen Robinson said: “I thought the boys were terrific.

“One of our best performances of the season against a very good Hibs side. We got done by a mistake.

“We dominated large spells of the game but couldn’t find the finish. Our end product wasn’t quite there.

“It was young LJ [Lewis Jamieson], I’m delighted for him. He’s a talented boy and I have a lot of faith in him. He’s rewarded me with a very good equaliser.”
