Metro Denver and Boulder remain under a Heat Advisory until 9 p.m. Tuesday.
DENVER — The temperature at Denver International Airport hit 100 degrees Tuesday for the first time in nearly two years.
The last time Denver saw a 100-degree day was Aug. 5, 2022.
Denver’s airport weather station recorded a temperature of 100.4 degrees at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, according to National Weather Service data.

Metro Denver and Boulder remain under a Heat Advisory until 9 p.m. Tuesday. A Heat Advisory is also in effect for potions of south central and southeast Colorado until 7 p.m.
Somewhat cooler weather arrives on Friday and Saturday before more 90-degree readings return Sunday and Monday.
Denver Parks and Recreation is offering space in each of its rec centers that the public can access during normal business hours to cool off. The designated spaces will be staffed and have access to drinking water, restrooms and places to sit. Denver Public Library locations are also available to use as indoor spaces to escape the heat.
