MARTIN TYLER has been slammed by fans after his commentary of Kobbie Mainoo’s FA Cup final goal emerged.
The Manchester United prospect scored what turned out to be the winner against Manchester City at Wembley.
Man United won the clash 2-1 to end the disastrous season with a trophy.
Alejandro Garnacho opened the scoring before Mainoo made it two in the 39th minute.
Mainoo was found in the box by a clever pass from Bruno Fernandes and then slotted past Stefan Ortega.
Tyler was commentating on the match on the world feed and described the goal: “Manchester United with Bruno Fernandes, mis-kicked it… Mainoo!”
However, this has upset the club’s supporters by calling the Portuguese star’s no-look pass a “miskick”.
Specsavers replied: “Called him but he mispicked up the phone.”
A fan posted: “Martin Tyler should retire immediately 😂🤣.”
A second wrote: “‘Miskicked it’, the can’t help but hate on the kings man.”

A third commented: “Think Martin Tyler needs to visit Specsavers.”
A fourth said: “Probably the best assist of the season to being regarded as a missed kick.”
Another added: “I honesty don’t understand how he thought that was a miss-kick. One of the most sublime passes you’ll ever see.”
Man United legend Wayne Rooney had a very different interpretation of the move to Tyler.
He said on the BBC: “The second goal is an unbelievable goal. The pass from Bruno [Fernandes] is incredible.
“Not many players in world football could make that pass.”
Jeremy Doku got one back for Manchester City in the closing stages but they were unable to find an equaliser.
Tyler, 78, was formerly commentating for Sky Sports but claimed he was “stepped down” after 33 year.
Martin Tyler’s exit from Sky Sports

MARTIN TYLER revealed that he was “stepped down” by Sky Sports.
The veteran commentator left the broadcaster after 33 years at the end of last season.
He has not hung up his mic, however, and has continued working on games for overseas networks this season.
Ahead of working on Arsenal‘s clash with Brighton this afternoon, Tyler joined talkSPORT for a catch-up.
Chatting to SunSport’s Shaun Custis, Tyler was at pains to make it clear that he had not left Sky of his own accord.
He said: “I didn’t step down, I was stepped down.
“I haven’t retired. I’m very grateful to some channels who have decided that I’ve still got something to contribute.”
Tyler then stressed: “Please don’t think there’s any bitterness about Sky at all, they gave me a wonderful run.
“I’ve got many friends there, I’ll be watching in the press room at the Emirates after the Arsenal-Brighton game, the coverage of Liverpool vs Manchester United and it’ll bring back a lot of personal memories.
“I wish everybody well.”
