The reported shooting in the parking lot of Weber Hall on the Williams Village Campus led to a shelter-in-place order Sunday morning.
BOULDER, Colo — The weapon used to fire shots Sunday morning near the University of Colorado Boulder campus, leading police to issue a shelter-in-place, was an air pistol that shot BBs, according to CU Boulder Police.
CU Boulder Police said on Monday that four suspects – three of whom were juveniles – were arrested in the incident. None of the suspects are affiliated with the university.
Officers responded around 3 a.m. Sunday for reports of a large party at Weber Hall student housing on the campus located along Baseline Road near the intersection with U.S. 36.
While they were breaking up the party, officers said they received reports of shots being fired in the parking lot of the building. An alert was sent out around 4:24 a.m. that residents should shelter-in-place and avoid the area.
The shelter-in-place order was lifted at 5:25 a.m., and police said there was no threat to the campus.
No injuries were reported.
