The crash happened a little bit before noon at the intersection of West Mineral Avenue and South Santa Fe Drive.

LITTLETON, Colo. — Police in Littleton said a “major” crash has forced the closure of the eastbound lanes of West Mineral Avenue at South Santa Fe Drive.

A Littleton Police spokesperson said the closure will last for “quite some time.”

SKY9 was over the scene at noon. The video shows numerous law enforcement vehicles at the crash scene and caution tape surrounding the scene stretching from the RTD light rail bridge over Mineral Avenue around police vehicles that were blocking at least one lane in South Santa Fe Drive.

A spokesperson for South Metro Fire Rescue said two people were rushed from the scene to a nearby hospital. Their conditions were not known.

Police are investigating what led up to the crash.

This is a developing situation. This article will be updated as information is confirmed.
