Boulder police said westbound Valmont Road would be closed between 30th and 29th streets for an extended period Saturday.
BOULDER, Colo. — Boulder Police are investigating after a hit-and-run crash in Boulder left a bicyclist seriously injured Saturday morning.
According to police, initial information indicates that around 8:30 a.m. Saturday a truck veered into the bike lane and struck a woman near the intersection of 30th Street and Valmont Road. Police said the woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Around 10:21 a.m., Boulder Police said in a post on their X account that drivers should avoid traveling on westbound Valmont Road, which is closed between 30th Street and 29th Street, while the investigation is underway. Police said the closure would be in place for an extended period of time, but did not say how long.
Investigators are still working on several leads about the vehicle involved, but at the moment, they believe a pick-up truck was involved in the incident.
