ROSS BARKLEY was left covered in blood after suffering a broken nose against Crystal Palace.
Fortunately he was able to continue playing after being patched up by the Luton medical team.
Barkley sustained the injury following a collision with Palace defender Joel Ward.
The pair clashed when challenging for the ball but Ward came out unscathed.
Barkley meanwhile was left with a bruised and bloodied nose with his shirt covered in blood.
He was given a cloth to mop up the mess and had to change into a spare, numberless shirt.
Unfortunately for Barkley the match went from bad to worse as Jean-Philippe Mateta poked the hosts in front just a minute after play resumed.
A sloppy Alfie Doughy backpass put Daniel Munoz through on goal and the winger rounded goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski.
He then unselfishly cut the ball back to Mateta who backheeled the ball into the empty net with a confident finish.
