At the event, Georgina appeared to confirm that Ronaldo will hang up his boots soon.

She said: “Cristiano one more year, then it’s over. Maybe two, I don’t know.”

Ronaldo, who turned 39-years-old a month ago, sees his contract at Al-Nassr expire in 2025.

He has previously stated that he is keen to play on into his 40s.

However, ex-Portugal boss Fernando Santos believes “he’s not a player who will lower his level” and “when he feels like he can’t be Ronaldo, he won’t.”

But the footballing icon’s son Cristiano Jr is a promising player himself and the family dream of seeing the two generations on the pitch together.

Ronaldo has admitted he gets told by his 13-year-old: “Hold on a few more years, I want to play with you.”
