DUTCH International Quincy Promes has reportedly been detained at Dubai Airport after being sentenced to six years in prison for smuggling cocaine.

The Dutch footballer, 32, was sentenced for helping to smuggle 1,363kg of the drug.

But the Spartak Moscow attacker had been avoiding jail by staying in Russia.

However, cops in the Middle East are now holding him after he allegedly went to a Dubai training camp with his club.

Various reports state that he was stopped at border control and was not allowed to travel with his team-mates back to Russia.
