Police are still searching for suspects.

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Police in Commerce City are investigating after someone fired shots at two vehicles and a home Wednesday night.

The Commerce City Police Department said in a Facebook post Thursday that just after 9 p.m. Wednesday, people living around the 7300 block of Krameria Street heard a series of gunshots.

Officers found at least two vehicles that had been hit by bullets, according to police. One had shattered rear and side windows, and the other had a bullet hole in the bumper.

One person brought officers into her home and showed them where one bullet had entered the room she was sitting in with her young teenage daughter.

She said they hit the floor, thinking more shots could come at any time.

Police are asking anyone with surveillance footage that may have captured the shootings or any suspicious vehicles or people beforehand or afterwards to email Investigator Couture at ecouture@c3gov.com.

“This could have been so much worse,” the Facebook post said. “We need your help to catch the criminal(s) before they can do it again with more dire consequences.
