Denver police said they arrested Mario Chester, 32, for the early morning shooting near North Broadway and Park Avenue West in downtown.
DENVER — A man has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting that happened on Oct. 18 in the area of North Broadway and Arapahoe Street, police said.

The shooting happened around 1 a.m. Oct. 18. Police said the the victim was found near a tent in the sidewalk area. He has been identified as Keith Elliot, 40.
Denver Police announced they arrested a suspect Monday. Mario Chester, 32, was arrested in connection to the shooting.
Chester is charged with first-degree murder and weapon charges. He is expected in Denver court on Thursday.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or visit metrodenvercrimestoppers.com. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation.
From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
