Englewood High School and Middle School were evacuated. The all clear was given for students to return just before 1 p.m.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Students return to Englewood High School and Middle School after both were evacuated on Tuesday due to a bomb threat, the Englewood Police Department confirmed.

The schools are both located at 3800 S. Logan St. According to police, the threat was made toward the middle school but because the school buildings are connected, both are being evacuated.

In a Facebook post, the police department wrote that an anonymous tip was received that an explosive device was inside the combined building.

Several K-9 officers and a bomb squad were dispatched to the school to assist in clearing the building.  The building was searched and cleared and nothing suspicious was found, the police department said around 12:45 p.m. The post said students were being allowed to return to class.

On Sept. 9 both schools were also evacuated after an anonymous tip indicated a device was inside the combined building, Englewood Police said. During that incident, the students were bused to a different school within the district.
