MANUEL UGARTE will travel to England TODAY ahead of his transfer to Manchester United, reports suggest.
The Red Devils have been locked in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain for weeks over a deal.
Talks between the two clubs are now said to be “practically closed”, according to reports from Uruguay.
However, El Pais add there are a few minor details to be ironed out.
Ugarte has been left out of Luis Enrique’s PSG squad for the first two matches of the season amid the transfer speculation.
Personal terms with the Uruguay international have been agreed for some time.
The stumbling block over a deal came down to the fee being demanded by the French outfit, who were demanding £51million to sell the 23-year-old.
That had led to talk of a loan deal with an obligation to buy next summer.
But the imminent sale of Scott McTominay to Napoli in a £25m transfer is set to facilitate the move being a permanent one straight away.
More to follow.
