The city posted at 10:55 a.m. on social media that the road was closed in the area of Park Meadows Mall, along with Yosemite and Jamaica streets.
Police were not able to immediately say what the police activity was.
No estimated time was given for when the road will reopen. Drivers are advised to find alternate routes.
