Westminster Police said multiple men fired gunshots at each other in a parking lot at 8900 Harlon St., killing one man and seriously injuring another.
WESTMINSTER, Colo. — Westminster Police are investigating a shooting in a parking lot that killed a man and seriously injured another Friday night.
Officers responded around 10:35 p.m. to the parking lot at 8900 Harlan St. and found a man with a gunshot wound, police said. He was taken to the hospital where he died.
Police were notified a short time later that another man was at a local hospital with a gunshot wound who they said was in critical condition.
According to police, the shooting took place after an argument between multiple men that led to several firing gunshots at each other.
Police said no additional information is being released at this time, citing an active investigation, but did say investigators do not believe there is a danger to the public.
The victim’s identity and cause of death will be released by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office after an autopsy is completed.
