GREELEY, Colo. — A 59-year-old woman died from her injuries after a crash between a car and a city bus on Friday in Greeley, according to police.
The woman was a passenger in a sedan that crashed with a Greeley-Evans Transit bus at 5:35 p.m. Friday at the intersection of 71st Avenue and West 4th Street, the Greeley Police Department said on Tuesday.
The victim and the driver of the sedan, an 18-year-old woman, were both taken to a hospital. The passenger died shortly after her arrival, and the driver was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.
The bus driver and the single passenger aboard the bus were not injured, police said.
Greeley Police’s traffic unit is investigating the crash.
The Weld County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the woman who died after notification of next of kin.
