LAKEWOOD, Colo. — One person is dead after a hit-and-run in Lakewood.
At around 7:30 p.m. Friday, several 911 calls reported a vehicle hit a pedestrian at Kipling Street and West 23rd Avenue, according to a spokesperson for the Lakewood Police Department.
The spokesperson said the pedestrian died and the driver fled the scene.
No further information was shared about the victim or the suspect due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, police said. The spokesperson said the victim’s next of kin would be notified before identifying them.
