The shooting happened early Friday in the 1400 block of Xenia Street, according to police.
DENVER — A woman died from her injuries after she was shot early Friday in the 1400 block of Xenia Street, Denver Police said.
Officers responded to the shooting at 12:30 a.m. inside a residence in the area of Xenia Street and East 14th Avenue. The victim, a woman, was taken to a hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased, police said.
The shooting is being investigated as a homicide, and investigators were working to develop suspect information.
The Denver Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the woman after notification of next-of-kin.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers works by assigning a code to people who anonymously submit a tip. Information is shared with law enforcement, and Crime Stoppers is notified at the conclusion of the investigation.
From there, an awards committee reviews the information provided and, if the information leads to an arrest, the tipster will be notified. Rewards can be collected using the code numbers received when the tip was originally submitted.
