Ederson wanted by Spurs

According to TuttoJuve, Tottenham want to buy Ederson.

Not City’s Ederson… this Atalanta’s Ederson, a Brazilian midfielder who starred against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final.

A fee of £35million has been touted for the 24-year-old.

Previously, the Mirror claimed Newcastle were also interested.

New Norwich boss

NORWICH are set to appoint Nordsjaelland boss Johannes Hoff Thorup as their new manager.

The 35-year-old is in line to replace David Wagner, who was sacked after the Canaries’ 4-0 play-off defeat at Leeds this month.

Thorup took charge of what may turn out to be his final Danish Superliga game yesterday, a 1-1 draw at Copenhagen.

And the Dane was quizzed about the Carrow Road job but kept tight-lipped.

He said: “Have I heard anything from Norwich?

“As I’ve said several times, when I’m employed somewhere I have so much respect for them.

“Just look at this scenery behind me right now. It would be disrespectful to talk about other clubs or other situations.

“No matter if it was close or completely miles away — I’m never ever going to go into that.

“This club means so much that we shouldn’t be standing here on the last day of the season talking about everything else.”

Smith Rowe a wanted man

Four clubs are trailing Arsenal’s out of favour youngster Emile Smith Rowe.

Wolves, Aston Villa, Everton and Crystal Palace are all credited with an interest in the midfielder.

Reports in Spain add that Newcastle are no longer the frontrunners for Smith Rowe.

Discussions about his future are said to be had soon.

Greenwood’s future

Mason Greenwood released a 52-word statement on his future as Getafe fans begged him to stay with a new chant.

Greenwood’s future remains unclear as he enters the final year of his United contract.

But the forward sent a message to fans as he posted a statement on social media.

It read: “Incredibly grateful to the Getafe family and fans for an amazing season.

“Thank you for making me feel welcomed and one of your own. I enjoyed every second, alongside my teammates and club.

“A bitter sweet ending, but it was a pleasure to play for you, I wish you all the best.”

Pep exit?

Monumental news from Manchester City where it appears that Pep Guardiola is heading for his final 12 months at the Etihad.

The City boss’ deal is up in 2025 and it appears as if he will NOT sign a new deal.

After the most successful period in the club’s history – and one of the most dominant periods in English football – City are now heading into an extremely uncertain future.

Exit door

Man Utd confirmed they have completed their first bit of transfer business of the summer.

Alvaro Fernandez, 21, has joined Benfica for £5million after spending the second half of the season on loan in the Portuguese capital.

The Spain U21 left-back joined United aged 17 having spent time in the academies of Real Madrid and Deportivo La Coruna.

He never made a senior appearance for the Red Devils.
