Case closed
Casemiro’s Manchester United career is all-but over, according to reports.
The Brazilian midfielder is set to sit down with club chiefs this summer to agree an Old Trafford exit, report Goal.
Several clubs in Saudi Arabia have been linked with a move for Casemiro, including Al-Ahli, Al-Qasidiya and Al-Nassr.
Grav hope
Ryan Gravenberch “hopes” to stay at Liverpool this summer following his debut season in England.
The Dutch midfielder told AD: “I hope to play here at Liverpool for years to come, it’s a top club.
“I’ve never spoken to Arne Slot but he is a trainer who likes attacking football. That should suit me, you would think. We will see!”
Gravenberch scored four goals in 38 appearances for the Reds last term.
Timo time
Tottenham are looking to keep Timo Werner at the club this summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are in advanced talks with RB Leipzig to extend his loan until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Werner initially joined the club on loan in January, but has been out injured since April.
The German forward scored twice and provided three assists in 14 appearances for Spurs.
Bru-no chance
Newcastle United have told Bruno Guimaraes that he will not be sold for less than £100m this summer, according to TBR Football.
The Brazilian midfielder has been subject to interest from Arsenal, Man City and PSG ahead of the summer transfer window.
And the star is said to have a £100m release clause that is active for the month of June.
Howerver it’s claimed that the Magpies have told their man that they will not be allowing him to leave unless that clause is met as they look to maintain their best players ahead of next season.
Saudi keen on Casemiro
Saudi Arabian outfit Al Nassr are reportedly considering a move for Manchester United midfielder Casemiro.
Al Nassr, the home of Cristiano Ronaldo, are one of a number of Saudi Pro League clubs that are interested in signing Casemiro, according to GOAL Brazil.
Casemiro, 32, has struggled at Man Utd this season and looks likely ton be leaving Old Trafford this summer.
It is said that the Brazilian will meet with management at Man Utd in the coming days to determine his future with the club.
Southampton to offer McCarthy contract
Southampton are set to offer Alex McCarthy a new deal after his shock role in winning promotion.
The veteran keeper, 34, is out of contract at the end of this month and had expected to leave St. Mary’s having barely been used as a substitute until mid-April.
McCarthy had fallen out of favour at Southampton but remarkably was catapulted into the side for a midweek game against Preston when first choice Gavin Bazunu ruptured his Achilles in the warm up.
The former Reading and Crystal Palace man has interest from four other Premier League sides as well as one in Saudi Arabia.
However, having expected to leave he is now open to penning a new deal on the South Coast.
The club are already making an effort to agree a deal, but McCarthy wants assurances over playing time having been out in the cold most of this term and is not interested in a one-year deal.
