Haven Ramirez, 21, faces a first-degree murder charge.

GREELEY, Colo. — Police have arrested a suspect in a deadly overnight shooting in Greeley.

The Greeley Police Department said just after 2 a.m. Thursday, officers were called to a home in the 2700 block of C Street for a shooting that had just happened. Police said the suspect, later identified as 21-year-old Haven Ramirez, left the scene immediately after the shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from several gunshot wounds. He later died at the hospital.

Thursday afternoon, police said, detectives found Ramirez and took him into custody. He was taken to the Weld County Jail where he was booked on charges of first-degree murder and two counts of felony menacing, according to police.

The victim’s name has not been released.
