Whiskey lovers will camp out to grab a rare bottle of Snowflake Batch #27. This year, Snowflake Village will have live DJs and bands, games and cocktail bars.
DENVER — Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey is ready to release a limited batch of whiskey.
Stranahan’s said it will release “Snowflake Batch #27” at its Denver distillery on Saturday.
Stranahan’s said Snowflake festivities will begin Friday with live music, food trucks, yard games, barrel making demos and whiskey. Fans are allowed to camp out to secure a spot in line for a bottle of Snowflake beginning Thursday at 9 a.m. at 200 S. Kalamath St.
The exact time of the release has not been announced. For the first time, attendees will be able to purchase up to three bottles of Snowflake Batch #27, which is $119.99 per bottle before tax.
Since 2011, Stranahan’s has released a limited-edition bottling of Snowflake, one of the rarest releases in the American whiskey industry.
The Snowflake release has developed a cult following with thousands of loyal fans braving the cold for up to 72 hours to get their hands on a bottle. Snowflake bottles traditionally sell out within one day.
“Snowflake is an annual winter bottle release that showcases an array of rare and worldly cask finishes harmonized in one bottle of American Single Malt,” the distillery said in a statement. “As in nature, no two Snowflakes are alike, and each year features an entirely new iteration.”
