DENVER — One person was killed in a shooting involving officers in the area of Commons Park near downtown Denver on Monday afternoon, the Denver Police Department said.
Police said the shooting happened in the area of 16th and Platte streets. Police said officers originally responded to the area “on a weapons-related call for service.”
Officers are investigating in an area including the park and along the South Platte River.
