WASHINGTON — Shifty Shellshock, the frontman of the band Crazy Town who sang the hit 2000 song “Butterfly,” has died. He was 49.
Back in April 2023, Crazy Town was kicked off a tour after Binzer and guitarist Bobby Reeves got into a fistfight after a show in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The fight reportedly began when Binzer didn’t come onstage until the final song of the band’s set, forcing Reeves to handle vocals. After the incident, the two said they were “all good.” Binzer was then arrested for DUI in Myrtle Beach a few days after the incident, according to multiple reports.
He is survived by his three children.
