The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said a person claiming to be inside one of the buildings was making threats.

GOLDEN, Colo. — The Colorado School of Mines campus was under a shelter-in-place order Saturday night because someone claiming to be inside one of the buildings was making threats, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said.

The sheriff’s office said multiple agencies responded and searched the campus. After completing the search, the sheriff’s office posted on social media that the order had been lifted because no threats were found, and said everyone was safe to resume normal activities.
